Measuring guide — ZIP screen
Correct measuring is critical for ZIP screens. Always measure at three points — windows are rarely perfectly square. Specify motor side viewed from outside facing the wall.
Tools you need
- Tape measure or laser measure
- Spirit level
- Pencil and notepad
Wall — window without sill
- Width: Inner edge to inner edge of frame, three points. Largest + 65 mm for side rails.
- Height: Bottom to inner top, both sides. Add cassette: +140 mm (ZIP 90) or +160 mm (ZIP 110).
Wall — window with sill
- Same width method as above.
- Height: From sill to inner top. Smallest measurement.
- Measure wall-to-sill depth — determines spacer requirements.
Inside frame/recess
- Width: Internal edge to edge, three points — smallest.
- Height: Internal both sides — smallest minus 5 mm clearance.
Cassette height allowance (wall mount)
| Variant | Top box | Bottom rail | Allowance |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZIP screen 90 | 90 mm | 50 mm | 140 mm |
| ZIP screen 110 | 110 mm | 50 mm | 160 mm |

ZIP screen

The pergola is designed with Scandinavian conditions in mind, meaning it is resistant to wind, rain, snow and intense sunlight. The powder-coated aluminum construction ensures a long service life. Our pergolas are tested in various weather conditions to guarantee operational reliability. Both the protective surface coating and the control mechanism retain their full function after many years of use, delivering comfort and usability all year round.
Yes, the pergola is designed for year-round use, even in winter. The stable construction, which is resistant to various weather conditions, including rain, snow and wind, allows the pergola to be used all year round. With movable slats, you can adjust the protection from sun and precipitation, and powder-coated aluminum ensures durability and corrosion resistance. However, in winter, it is worth remembering to remove snow that accumulates on the roof regularly to avoid overloading the structure or leave the slats in the open position so that snow does not remain on the roof.
Yes, the pergola has corrosion protection. The structure is made of powder-coated aluminum, which provides high resistance to moisture and weather. The powder coating process creates a durable coating that protects the aluminum from rust and corrosion, extending the life of the pergola and ensuring its aesthetic appearance for many years.
For the pergola we offer zip walls, which are made of durable fabric and equipped with a zipper mechanism. Screens provide extra privacy and effective protection against wind and insects, making the pergola even more comfortable to use in different weather conditions.
