The pergola is designed with Scandinavian conditions in mind, meaning it is resistant to wind, rain, snow and intense sunlight. The powder-coated aluminum construction ensures a long service life. Our pergolas are tested in various weather conditions to guarantee operational reliability. Both the protective surface coating and the control mechanism retain their full function after many years of use, delivering comfort and usability all year round.
Yes, the pergola is designed for year-round use, even in winter. The stable construction, which is resistant to various weather conditions, including rain, snow and wind, allows the pergola to be used all year round. With movable slats, you can adjust the protection from sun and precipitation, and powder-coated aluminum ensures durability and corrosion resistance. However, in winter, it is worth remembering to remove snow that accumulates on the roof regularly to avoid overloading the structure or leave the slats in the open position so that snow does not remain on the roof.
Yes, the pergola is UV-resistant and provides effective protection from the sun. The materials used in the construction of the pergola, including the powder-coated aluminum shell and the movable slats, are designed to protect from the sun's rays. The slats can be adjusted to adapt to light and shade, thus creating a comfortable space protected from excessive sunlight.
Yes, the pergola has corrosion protection. The structure is made of powder-coated aluminum, which provides high resistance to moisture and weather. The powder coating process creates a durable coating that protects the aluminum from rust and corrosion, extending the life of the pergola and ensuring its aesthetic appearance for many years.
For the pergola we offer zip walls, which are made of durable fabric and equipped with a zipper mechanism. Screens provide extra privacy and effective protection against wind and insects, making the pergola even more comfortable to use in different weather conditions.
The pergola is equipped with a manual control system and is not compatible with smart home systems. All functions of the pergola, such as adjusting the roof from the movable slats, are operated manually using a hand crank. We do not currently offer options for integrating the pergola with smart home systems.
The pergola roof is adjustable using the movable slat system. The slats can be rotated to adjust light and shade as needed. When the slats are fully closed, they form a tight roof that keeps out the rain. Water is drained through integrated gutters in the pergola profiles. The system is easy to use and makes it possible to adjust the opening angle of the slats steplessly (max. 110 degrees) so that you have full control over the conditions under the pergola.
The PERGOSOL pergola roof provides effective protection against rain due to the construction of slats that overlap tightly when closed. The water flows down into the integrated gutters in the profiles and is then drained through the columns to the outside of the structure. However, it is important to remember that the roof is not completely waterproof, especially in heavy rain and strong winds. The pergola is designed to provide comfort and protection in everyday weather.
The zip walls are not completely waterproof, but they provide effective wind protection. The solid fabric construction provides good protection against wind and increases comfort in the pergola, especially when it is very windy. In case of rain, the panels can provide some protection, but they are not completely waterproof.
The pergola does not require much maintenance, but it is recommended to take care of the elements regularly to maintain its aesthetics and functionality for many years to come. In principle, it will be enough to clean the aluminum structure occasionally with water and a mild detergent. It is a good idea to check the slat mechanism at regular intervals and remove dirt. It is also a good idea to check the water drains to avoid blockages. This way you ensure that the pergola will function without problems for many years.
No, the pergola offered is equipped with a manual control system with a hand crank. Automatic control systems are not available in our range, as the pergola is designed to be easy to assemble and use by all users without the need for expert assistance. With the hand crank, the position of the slats can be adjusted easily and precisely, so that light and shade can be adapted as needed.
No, we do not currently offer LED lighting for pergolas. If you wish to install lighting, you can do this yourself using external light sources that can be attached to the pergola structure. However, you must ensure that the electrical installation complies with current standards and safety regulations.
The pergola is designed to be easy for our customers to assemble themselves. We do not offer assembly services, but each product comes with clear and detailed step-by-step instructions to guide you through the entire assembly process. This makes it easy to assemble the pergola in your own garden without being a handyman.
The pergola can be assembled by yourself, but it is recommended that 2-3 people participate in the assembly to make the process much easier (4 people may be needed for the largest 4x4 m pergola). The pergola comes with clear assembly instructions that guide you step by step through all the assembly steps, making assembly easy and requiring no special tools or technical skills.
The pergola can be mounted on various types of surfaces, such as concrete, wood, or stone. It is very important that the product is attached to a stable and even surface that has sufficient load-bearing capacity to ensure that the pergola functions properly. It is recommended to read the assembly instructions and contact an expert if necessary to ensure that the structure is securely attached.
The pergola can be mounted either freestanding or against the wall of the house. Mounting against the wall can save space and also allows the pergola to be adapted to the architecture of the building. The assembly instructions that come with the pergola contain detailed information about both options to make the assembly process easier.
As a rule, a freestanding pergola is exempt from the application requirement, and therefore does not require a permit as long as it does not exceed 50 square meters and is located at least one meter from the neighboring boundary. If the pergola is to be attached to the home, it must follow the rules for minor measures in your municipality. For more information, you can also read what the Directorate for Building Quality writes here. It is also important to check with the municipality since local rules may vary. This will ensure that your project meets all applicable rules and you can enjoy your new pergola in the garden or on the terrace.
The following tools are usually needed to build a pergola:
- Drill and screwdriver - for drilling holes and screwing in screws.
- Spirit level - to ensure that the structure is evenly aligned.
- Blacksmith's hammer - to adjust the components if necessary.
- Wrench or socket wrench - to tighten nuts.
- Tape measure - for accurate measurement of distances and lengths.
- Screwdriver - for screwing in and out screws.
- Mounting screws and plugs - to secure the pergola to the ground.
- Ladder - makes it easier to install the highest parts of the structure, e.g. the slats on the roof.
- Hoists (preferably 2 pcs.) - to lift the pergola parts for easy assembly.
All this equipment should be sufficient to install the pergola in accordance with the enclosed assembly instructions. We recommend that at least four people carry out the assembly so that the installation of the pergola is much easier and faster.
