Measuring guide — ZIP screen
Correct measuring is critical for ZIP screens. Always measure at three points — windows are rarely perfectly square. Specify motor side viewed from outside facing the wall.
Tools you need
- Tape measure or laser measure
- Spirit level
- Pencil and notepad
Wall — window without sill
- Width: Inner edge to inner edge of frame, three points. Largest + 65 mm for side rails.
- Height: Bottom to inner top, both sides. Add cassette: +140 mm (ZIP 90) or +160 mm (ZIP 110).
Wall — window with sill
- Same width method as above.
- Height: From sill to inner top. Smallest measurement.
- Measure wall-to-sill depth — determines spacer requirements.
Inside frame/recess
- Width: Internal edge to edge, three points — smallest.
- Height: Internal both sides — smallest minus 5 mm clearance.

ZIP screen er en utvendig solskjerming som monteres foran vinduet eller fasadepartiet, med et slitesterkt, ikke-brennbart teknisk stoff som føres i skinner og låses fast med et glidelåssystem i kantene. Fordi skjermingen sitter utenpå glasset, stopper den solvarmen før den når vinduet — langt mer effektivt enn gardiner eller persienner innendørs, som bare demper solen etter at varmen allerede har kommet inn i huset.
Med ZIP screen holder du innetemperaturen nede på varme dager og reduserer behovet for kjøling, samtidig som stoffets lave lysgjennomgang skjermer mot innsyn uten å gjøre rommet mørkt. Glidelåssystemet holder duken stram og stabil selv i vind, og gir god beskyttelse mot lett regn og vindkast. Løsningen passer like godt til enkeltvinduer og fasadepartier som til større uteområder, som en pergola eller terrasse.
Solid, stabilt glidelåssystem
Det slitesterke stoffet føres i skinner og festes med ZIP-lås langs søylene, slik at stoffet holdes stramt og stabilt selv i vind. Betjenes enkelt med motor og bryter, eller fjernkontroll med 1 eller 4 kanaler.
Screen duk av teknisk kvalitet
Stoffet har kun 5 % lysgjennomgang, som demper solen effektivt uten å gjøre rommet innenfor mørkt. Det er PVC-belagte glassfibre, ikke-brennbart og motstandsdyktig mot vær, fuktighet og UV — det verken tøyer seg, falmer eller vrir seg over tid, i motsetning til rimeligere stoffer fra lavprisbutikker.
